New Directives for All Schools Poster Is Fake

Verdict: False (Fabricated document)

A graphic titled “NEW DIRECTIVES FOR ALL SCHOOLS IN UGANDA — Last Term 2026,” bearing what looks like the Ministry of Education and Sports letterhead and coat of arms, has been circulating on social media listing ten numbered directives (school tours, holiday teaching bans, dress code, school party bans, fee restrictions, and others), dated “Issued: October 2026.”

This fits an established pattern. Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports, through spokesperson Dr. Dennis Mugimba, has repeatedly had to debunk fabricated school-directive documents in 2026 alone — including an AI-generated graphic falsely claiming schools would reopen on 9 October 2026 (confirmed fake by PesaCheck and Nilepost, and disowned by NBS TV, whose branding it misused), and a separate fraudulent notice claiming a postponed reopening date.

According  Dr. Dennis K. Mugimba, Ministry of Education Spokesperson, the Ministry states it is aware of the misinformation, asks the public to stop circulating it, and says a formal statement will follow.

Bottom line: The poster shows clear signs of fabrication consistent with a broader 2026 pattern of fake MoES circulars, and is marked as fake in the image itself.
