The Head of the Faith of Unity, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, has challenged believers to pursue education and help others access learning, saying knowledge is essential for personal advancement and national development.
Bisaka said education opens doors to opportunities and enables individuals to achieve their ambitions, urging his followers not to underestimate its importance regardless of their backgrounds.
“Go get educated. Everything is possible,” he told believers while preaching the message of unity at Kafuuka Village, Kafuuka Sub-county, Kyegwegwa District.
The gathering, held in the Faith of Unity’s Bufunjo Region, brought together believers and local leaders, with education, spiritual commitment and peaceful coexistence featuring prominently in the message.
Bisaka encouraged followers to take personal responsibility for their education while extending the same support to others, particularly those who may not have the opportunity or resources to pursue learning.
His message placed education at the centre of the faith’s call for social transformation, highlighting the role of knowledge in helping individuals improve their livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to society.
The gathering also saw more than 245 people from different religious backgrounds officially welcomed into the Faith of Unity.
Bisaka urged the new members to remain committed to the faith’s teachings and become ambassadors of unity and peaceful coexistence within their communities.
In a symbolic ceremony, he personally dressed the new believers in white Kanzus, marking their acceptance into the religious community and their commitment to serving under the faith.
He cautioned them against undermining the dignity associated with the white garments, urging them to uphold the values they represent.
The new members were also challenged to spread the Faith of Unity’s message beyond their immediate communities and promote unity among people across the world.
The reception of the new members marked one of the key moments of the gathering, reflecting the faith’s continued engagement with people from different religious backgrounds.
Local leaders, led by Town Council Chairperson Muhereza Abilina, commended Bisaka for his spiritual guidance and prayers during the electoral period.
The leaders expressed appreciation for his prayers, which they credited with helping them navigate the election period peacefully and secure victory.
They also recognised his continued engagement with communities through spiritual guidance and messages aimed at strengthening unity.
The gathering ended with renewed calls for believers to embrace education, maintain their spiritual commitment and promote peaceful coexistence.
